三、长期肥料试验在世界农业发展中的意义及其展望(一)长期肥料试验对世界农业发展的意义一百余年前欧洲以及随之而来的世界性农业革命与化学肥料的问世和应用息息相关,而长期肥料试验向农民展示肥料的正确施用数量及其增产效果,使化肥的应用迅速地漫延到世界各地.事实上,当Rothamsted的创始人Lawes在着手设置一系列肥料试验的时候,并非单单以研究问题的本身为目的,同时也为了向农民展示试验结果以便在实际应用中得以推广.因此,他在一百余年前为试验设计所选定的肥料用量,至今看来也依然具有很好的实用性.Ro-thamsted于1956年起设立的两处轮作——肥料试验(Reference plot)也主要是为了向参观者展示肥料
