“提高学生的阅读能力”是教学大纲规定的高中英语教学目的之一,是培养学生理解和运用英语技能的一个基本方法,又是落实交际实践性的主要途径。搞好阅读教学,培养学生的阅读兴趣,提高学生获取信息和分析、判断、处理信息的技能,从而从整体上提高学生的阅读能力,是高中英语教学中必须认真解决的重要课题之一。 “Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension” is one of the aims of English teaching in senior high schools stipulated in the syllabus. It is a basic method for students to understand and use English skills and is also the main way to implement communicative practicalities. Improving reading teaching, fostering students’ interest in reading, improving students’ ability to acquire information and analyze, judge and handle information, so as to improve students’ reading ability as a whole, is one of the important topics that must be seriously solved in high school English teaching.
