本实验提纯了绿脓杆菌粘液株的胞外粘液多糖物质（ＭＥＰ），并对其在细菌粘附中的作用进行了研究。结果发现纯化的ＭＥＰ制品或抗ＭＥＰ血清可以阻断绿脓杆菌粘液株对健康人的颊上皮细胞的粘附作用，证明ＭＥＰ确是绿脓杆菌粘液株的粘附素。
In this study, the extracellular mucopolysaccharide (MEP) of Pseudomonas aeruginosa mucilage was purified and its role in bacterial adhesion was studied. As a result, it was found that the purified MEP preparation or anti-MEP serum blocked the adhesion of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa mucus to the buccal epithelial cells of healthy human and proved that MEP was indeed an adhesin of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa mucus.
