新四军不仅延续了北伐战争时期的国民革命军第四军和土地革命战争时期的中国工农红军第四军的番号,而且直接传承和发扬了这两个四军的铁军精神。正如《新四军军歌》中唱的:“我们是铁的新四军!”为纪念新四军成立70周年,本刊特开辟《铁军精神大家谈》专栏,共同探讨新四军铁军精神的源头、内涵、实质、作用、现实意义以及在新的历史条件下,怎样继承和弘扬铁军精神等问题,也可以结合某一具体战役、战斗、某个英雄群体、模范人物的事迹来反映铁军精神,以推动对新四军研究和宣传进一步深入。热忱欢迎广大读者踊跃参与这一讨论。
The New Fourth Army not only carried on the reigns of the Fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army and the Fourth Army of the Chinese Workers ’and Peasants’ Red Army during the Northern Expedition, but also directly inherited and carried forward the Iron Army spirit of the two Fourth Armies. As we sing in the song of the New Fourth Army: “We are the New Fourth Army of the Iron!” In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the New Fourth Army, we have opened a special column titled “We all talk about the spirit of the Iron Army,” to discuss the source, connotation, and essence of the Iron Forces of the New Fourth Army , Its role and practical significance as well as how to inherit and carry forward the spirit of the Iron Army under the new historical conditions. It can also reflect the spirit of the Iron Army by combining the deeds of a specific battle, battle, a group of heroes and exemplary figures so as to promote the new Fourth Army Research and promotion further.
