Liu Baochun is a great master involved in traditional Chi-nese landscape painting. From the 1970s, Mr. Liu startedto tour along the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, and hehas painted many masterpieces using these two great rivers astheme and background. As a leading representative of the newlandscape painting style, which originated during the 1950s,Mr. Liu’s paintings vividly reflect the close relationship be-tween people and nature.
