Objective To investigate the relationship between Ranson classification and cardiac injury in patients with acute pancreatitis. Methods A retrospective analysis of 96 cases of acute pancreatitis admitted to our hospital from 2006 to 2011. According to the Ranson score, the patients were divided into the first grade, the second grade and the third grade. The abnormality rate of electrocardiogram in each group was compared to determine the cardiac damage. Results Of the 96 patients, 51 showed abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG), and the abnormality rate of electrocardiogram was 53.1%. Among them, 49 were grade 1, 12 were abnormal ECG (24.4%), 26 were grade 2, 21 were abnormal ECG (73.1% Grade 3 group 21 cases, abnormal ECG 20 cases (95.2%). Abnormal ECG is mainly manifested as ST-T changes and arrhythmia. Conclusion Patients with acute pancreatitis often have abnormal electrocardiogram. With the increase of Ranson grading of acute pancreatitis, the abnormal rate of ECG increases. ECG monitoring to determine the condition and prognosis and guiding treatment of great value.
