年逾花甲的电影表演艺术家赵丹,是江苏南通人;父亲在南通市的一家私营戏院里当经理。由于父亲职业的方便,赵丹有经常看戏的条件,所以他从小就对戏剧十分感兴趣。十三、四岁时,他就在中学里组织了业余剧团。中学毕业后,他进入上海美术专科学校学习了一段时期国画,以后随着抗日救国热潮的高涨,他走出学校参加了进步的演出团体,到工厂、学校、街头演出。三十年代初,赵丹进入“明星”影业公司。一九三二年,当他才十八岁的时候,就登上银幕,在影片《琵琶春怨》中显露了头角。接着他又在《马路天使》、《十字街头》等进步影片中扮演角色,不断获得成功。 More than a year-old movie performance artist Dan Zhao, Jiangsu Nantong; his father in Nantong City, a private theater manager.
