CD47 molecule, also known as integrin-related protein, is a multi-transmembrane glycoprotein expressed in a variety of cells and tissues in the body. The CD47 molecule plays an important regulatory role in the body through its interaction with its integrin ligand, signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRP-alpha), and thrombin-sensitive protein (TSP-1). It participates in the regulation of cell adhesion and proliferation, activation of platelets, inhibition of erythrocyte clearance and other physiological processes, and through the induction of lymphocyte apoptosis, synergistically stimulate T cell activation, inhibit T cells to Th1-type cells, and affect dendritic cells (DC) and the secretion of cytokines play an important regulatory role on the immune system, and have important implications for the induction of immune tolerance, prevention and treatment of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and autoimmune diseases.
