第二届中国社会语言学国际学术研讨会暨中国社会语言学会成立大会于2003年11月21—23日在澳门举行。本次会议由澳门语言学会、中国社会语言学会和澳门理工学院联合主办。参加本次会议的正式代表来自中国内地、香港、澳门、台湾以及美国、日本、荷兰、波兰、马来西亚等国家,约100人,提交论文80多篇,内容涉及社会语言学的一般理论、语言生活和语言政策、港澳台社会语言现象以及其他领域。著名社会语言学家、美国South Carolina University的CarolMyers.Scotton作了题为“Predicting and Explaining Grammatical Convergence Across Linguistic Varieties”(语言变体之
The 2nd International Symposium on Sociolinguistics in China and the Founding Session of China Society for Languages and Societies was held in Macao on November 21-23, 2003. The conference was jointly organized by the Macao Language Institute, China Society for Social Languages and Macao Polytechnic Institute. About 100 formal delegates from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland and Malaysia, and more than 80 papers were submitted to cover the general theory of sociolinguistics and language life And language policy, social language phenomenon in Hong Kong, Maucao and other areas. The famous sociolinguist, Carol Myers, of South Carolina University, USA, gave a lecture titled “Predicting and Explaining Grammatical Convergence Across Linguistic Varieties”
