吉林省是我国甜菜的主要产区之一,常年播种面积80～90万亩,主要集中在中、西部地区。近年来,随着地膜覆盖栽培技术在甜菜生产上的应用,大幅度地提高了产量。据连续几年的试验和示范,可比直播甜菜出苗期提前7～10天,保苗率提高20％以上,块根膨大和糖分积累期延长10～15天,使亩产达2.5～3.0吨,比直播增产1.5～2.0吨,扣除增加的生产费,纯增收95～140元。是保全苗、促壮苗、大幅度提高甜菜单产和经济效益的有效措施。
