1 Project Background In September 2010, China Architecture Society invited a group of the best architects in China to design key projects for ten projects in Yushu Prefecture during the 4.14 Yushu earthquake reconstruction. The chief architect Zhou Kai The mission is to design Gesar Square in the heart of the town. The square is a commemorative square built by Yushu residents to commemorate the King Gesar. The local legend said King Saar was the embodiment of Padmasambhava. His life was full of vigor and dedication, spreading the Dharma and spreading culture, and was proud of the Tibetan people.
