科学发展的前沿正在出现一个能够沟通自然科学和人文社会科学的新动向,这就是建立在非线性科学和自组织理论基础上形成的复杂范式、复杂性方法或复杂性理论研究的兴起。它是一个跨学科研究的学科群:耗散结构论揭示了在一个远离平衡的开放系统中,当存在着自催化的非线性相互作用时,通过涨落而导致新的秩序;突变论揭示了由于原因的连续作用有可能导致结果的突然变化,从而深化了我们关于系统的有序和无序转化方式和途径的多样性认识;协同学揭示了系统宏观现象的微观机制,系统宏观的有序程度可用“序参量”来描述;超循环论揭示了在生命起源的化学阶段和生物学进化阶段之间有一个大分子的自组织阶段;混沌学将世界描绘成一幅非线性、不可逆和不规则的复杂图景,并揭示了混沌运动产生有序结构的条件;而分形学则试图揭示介于有序与无序之间的新秩序。复杂性理论的兴起将为人类认识自然、社会和文化的历史演进、现实状况和未来走向提供了新的视角和平台。目前,无论是科学界还是哲学社会科学界都对复杂性问题给予了高度的关注,作为2005年“中法文化年”的活动之一就有“复杂性方法国际学术研讨会”。这次在长沙召开的国际学术会议云集了国内外众多专家学者,对相关问题进行了热烈的讨论和交流。本刊长期以来一直关注复杂性问题的研究动态,为促进这一问题研究的深入开展,现特开辟“复杂性理论研究”专栏,为国内外研究者阐发关于复杂性问题的理论见解和学术思想提供阵地。本刊将不定期刊发相关学术论文。热忱欢迎各界专家学者赐稿。
