本文对插画的发展历史、形式和应用领域做了简单的介绍。在中国,CG插画除了借鉴和吸收国外的先进水平和制作技法,更多的是要注重与传统艺术形式的结合,体现中国民族鲜明特征,利用和扩展传统绘画中的多种艺术形式、表现手法、元素符号,使其与现代CG插画的设计做到接洽、传承、发扬、去开创一种属于我们本民族的插画艺术形式,是我们国以后CG插画产业发展的必由之路。对于中国未来CG插画风格和内容的发展方向做出一个明确的定位,文章的最后指出CG插画在未来发展的展望,在整个世界潮流中方向和前景,而中国的CG插画一定会崛起,将跻身于世界强流。
