2003年12月31日,Dellenburg这个德国中部小城市的人们跟往年的最后一天一样,下班后都匆匆忙忙地赶回家与亲朋好友一起迎接新年的到来。但对于德国乒坛名将波尔来说这一天是不同寻常的,因为从这一天开始他将结束单身生涯,与他心爱的未婚妻步入婚姻的礼堂。 婚礼进行的地点是在波尔平常训练的球馆里,没有新闻报道,没有媒体追踪,没有盛大的婚宴,只是一个小小的庆祝party。下午5时婚礼正式开始,客人们陆续进入小客厅一边热切的交谈着一边等待新人的到来。受邀的客人大都是德国乒乓界的
On December 31, 2003, Dellenburg, a small city in central Germany, like the last days of the year, hurried home after get off work to greet the New Year with friends and family. But for the German table tennis star Boll this day is unusual, because from that day he will end his solo career and marry his beloved fiancee into the hall. The venue for the wedding was in Ball’s regularly-trained gymnasium where there was no news coverage, no media coverage, no grand wedding, just a small celebration party.
