高校研究生英语教学中长期实行普通英语教学模式(又称EGP)。近年来,与EGP对应的专门英语教学模式(ESP)在教学中已经开始尝试,英语教学界普遍在讨论ESP与EGP的关系问题。本文在分析EGP与ESP内涵的基础上,阐述了研究生英语教学改革中EGP与ESP结合的必要性和可行性,并探讨了两种教学方式结合的方式。
College English teaching in the long-term implementation of common English teaching mode (also known as EGP). In recent years, the specialized English teaching mode (ESP) corresponding to EGP has been tried in teaching. The English teaching community generally discusses the relationship between ESP and EGP. Based on the analysis of the connotation of EGP and ESP, this article elaborates the necessity and feasibility of combining EGP with ESP in the reform of postgraduate English teaching, and discusses the combination of two teaching methods.
