Objective To investigate the relationship between the concentration of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) in peripheral blood of patients with pancreatic cancer and clinicopathological features relationship. Methods The levels of VEGF, bFGF and IGF-1 in peripheral blood of 32 patients with resectable pancreatic cancer, 24 patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer and 20 healthy individuals were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and their correlations with those of pancreatic cancer were analyzed by sex, age, pathology Grading, tumor size, with or without lymph node and distant metastasis, whether the invasion of vascular and clinical staging relationship. Results The levels of VEGF and bFGF in patients with pancreatic cancer were significantly higher than those in healthy people (P <0.01). There was no significant difference in IGF-1 levels between the two groups (P> 0.05). There was no significant difference in the concentrations of bFGF and IGF between the two groups (P> 0.05). VEGF was associated with the differentiation of pancreatic cancer, lymph node metastasis, vascular invasion, distant metastasis and clinical stage. Involved with vascular invasion. Conclusion The biological characteristics of pancreatic cancer progression are closely related to the regulation of angiogenesis in different stages of pancreatic cancer. The pro-angiogenic factors play a crucial role in the progression of pancreatic cancer. To detect the expression of pro-angiogenic factors in peripheral blood of pancreas Clinical cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment may be of great significance.
