According to a study by Scientia Horticulturae (October 10, 2012), researchers from Shanghai Jiaotong University studied the effects of plant growth regulators on the growth and fruit quality of sweet cherry endocarp. Sweet cherry fruit growth is usually divided into three stages: cell division; endocarp lignification; cell elongation. The second stage of the basic size of the fruit does not change, suggesting that the endocarp may be the main repository for this stage of fruit. It is unclear whether endocarp lignification competes with pericarp development for carbohydrates. To do this, the researchers used plant growth regulators to reduce nuclear sclerosis and endocarp carbohydrate supply. Researchers will
