Chua Siew Keng教授,中文名蔡秀琼,现任澳大利亚南十字星大学媒体传播与亚洲研究中心主任。她对中国电影情有独钟,多年来利用寒署假走访了中国大陆、台湾、香港的十多个电影制片厂(公司),接触和采访了众多的电影导演、编剧和制片人,观看了大量影片,形成了她对包括台湾和香港电影在内的中国电影的独特看法和思考,并拟完成一部关于中国电影的专著。笔者在南十字星大学访问期间,曾就中国电影问题与蔡教授作了多次交谈,她对中国电影很有感 Professor Chua Siew Keng, Chinese name Cai Xiuqiong, is the director of the Center for Media Communication and Asian Studies, Southern Cross University, Australia. She has a special liking for Chinese movies. Over the years, she has visited more than a dozen film studios (companies) in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong through the use of the Food and Drug Administration and contacted and interviewed numerous film directors, screenwriters and producers, Watched a large number of films, formed her unique views and thoughts on Chinese films including films in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and planned to complete a monograph on Chinese films.
