1975年春在矿党委领导下四川省石棉矿对生产性粉尘浓度、石棉肺患病率、石棉肺的症状、体征、X 线胸片征象以及肺功能进行了一次比较全面的调查。一、粉尘浓度:四川省石棉矿所产石棉为温石棉,颜色以洁白为多,块状,棉中也有褐色、棕褐色,黄白色者,在蛇纹石中呈稀或密网。石棉纤维以纵纤维为多,纤维长度一般在2～3厘米。纤维化学成份为:水分1.92～3.34%,SiO_236.52～42.26%,MgO 37.86～40.33%,Fe_2O_3 3.56～8.87%,少量 Al_2O_3与 CaO。
