1958年夏,一辆满载中国人民志愿军513医院全体官兵的列车越过中朝边境的鸭绿江铁桥,回国了!专列上的人们一路欢歌笑语。但是,列车的最终目的地是哪儿?车上的大多数人只知道是在祖国的大西北某地,而具体地理位置大家并不知晓。我的父亲、母亲就在这趟列车上,当时父亲是志愿军第513医院外科主任,母亲是该院护士。我从小在老家河北省蠡县农村跟爷爷、奶奶共同生活。从父母的家信中得知,他们很快要随部队回国直接去大西北,路过河北时就不能回家探亲了。 In the summer of 1958, a train carrying all the officers and soldiers of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army 513 Hospital crossed the Yalu River Iron Bridge on the border between China and North Korea and returned home. However, where is the ultimate destination of the train? Most people in the car only know that it is somewhere in the greater northwest of the motherland, and the exact location is unknown to all. My father and mother were on this train when my father was the surgical director of the 513 Hospital and the mother was a nurse at the hospital. I grew up in my hometown of Shexian County, Hebei Province, with my grandfather and grandmother living together. From their parents’ letter I learned that they will soon go back to the Great Northwest with their troops and can not go home to visit relatives when passing by.
