新《体育与健康课程标准》明确要求:“我国是一个多民族国家,民族体育文化(健身术、民族舞蹈、集体舞、舞龙狮等)源远流长,体育与健康课程应当大力开发和利用宝贵的民族、民间传统体育资源。”把舞蹈作为发展学生素质的内容之一,并通过学校体育教育教学的方式进行推广,既是依据课程标准进行课程资源开发利用的探索,顺应了社会发展的需要,也是加强和改进学校体育教学内容、抒发情感、培养文明行为的一个有力举措。
