By comparing the distribution characteristics of lacustrine facies in the Pearl Ⅰ and Zhu Ⅲ Depression in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, it is found that there are significant differences in the development of lacustrine facies in the two depressions, that is, the lacustrine development degree in the Zhu Ⅲ Depression is obviously less than Pearl Ⅰ depression. The comprehensive analysis shows that the main reason for this phenomenon is that the extensional extent of the Zhu Ⅲ depression during the rifting period is less than that of the Zhu Ⅰ depression, which is not conducive to the development of the lacustrine facies. The extension of rifting period depression is controlled by a variety of geological factors, including stress direction, bedrock lithology and regional faults. Beads Ⅰ and Zhu Ⅲ depressions have many differences in the lithology and distribution of depressions, the influence of large basement buried faults, and the strike of controlled depressions and fractures. These factors control the difference in extent of depressions and also control Differences in distribution of lakes.
