Metacognitive strategies play an important role in language learning. The proper use of this tactic can help undergraduates overcome all obstacles in the process of academic English reading and rapidly improve their reading ability. This article starts with the introduction of metacognitive strategy and explores the application of metacognitive strategy in undergraduate academic English reading.
