以西安市为例,通过构建路网通达性与城镇空间扩展的评价指标,采用等时线叠加法与指标分区法,并借鉴物理学中的耦合系数模型,定量研究了两者之间的耦合发展关系。研究表明:12000—2014年西安市城镇扩展与路网通达性水平均有大幅度提高,两者存在显著的耦合互动发展关系,以彼此正向影响为主,但也有个别区县在时间或空间可达性较好的地区出现城镇扩展缓慢现象。2各区县城镇扩展与路网通达性耦合协调水平呈缓慢上升趋势,但协调等级普遍偏低。3十三个区县中的灞桥区、长安区等五个区县自2000年至今一直处于扩展滞后状态。
