海呋龙散收载于《中华人民共和国卫生部药品标准》第五册中药成方制剂中。处方由海螵蛸、呋喃西林、冰片三药组成。主要功能:杀菌、消炎、收敛止血、外用于湿疹、外耳道炎及创伤 出血等,部颁标准仅以性状、鉴别、评价该药质量,未有含量测定方法。海呋龙散中呋喃西林的含量测定方法迄今未见报道,本实验根据呋喃西林在375nm波长处有紫外吸收,而另外两味药材在可见光区均无吸收的特点,建立了紫外分光光度法直接测定呋喃西林含量的方法。该法简单、快速,测得结果准确、可靠。
