实验火山学是一门新兴学科,从创立至今不过60 余年。法国传奇火山学者莫里斯·克拉夫特和卡佳·克拉夫特夫妇在实验火山学史上留下了永不磨灭的印迹。莫里斯从小就对火山产生了浓厚的兴趣,7岁时第一次观看了意大利斯特龙博利火山的喷发,14岁时就成为法国地理协会的会员。拿到学位后,夫妇俩不喜欢枯燥的理论和大学办公室,而是在“自然实验室”——活火山中开始了研究生涯。
Experimental volcanology is a new discipline, but it has been more than 60 years since it was founded. French legend volcano scholar Morris Kraft and Katya Kraft couple left an indelible mark in the history of experimental volcanology. Maurice had a strong interest in volcanoes since he was a child, watching the eruption of Stromboli volcano Italy for the first time at the age of seven and becoming a member of the French Geography Association at fourteen. After getting a degree, the couple did not like boring theories and university offices, but began their research career in “Nature Labs” - an active volcano.
