This article describes procedures and standards for evaluating Chinese textbooks by the Ministry of Education in Alberta, Canada. The article analyzes the reasons for the success or failure of teaching materials published in mainland China through real cases. I hope this article can provide some useful references for the development and marketing of Chinese teaching materials.
