继续教育是在本世纪60年代开始兴起的一种教育类型,是为了顺应时代挑战而采取的策略,它主要是指对在职教师的知识扩充,使教师向专业化方向发展,通过教师水平的提高以达到教学质量的提高。继续教育所要解决的主要矛盾是在职教师发展与社会发展的不适应性,它的根本任务在于充分挖掘教师的潜能,使教师从“教书匠”变为教育专家。本文就从中学体育教师继续教育的意义和继续教育的创新途径进行分析。
