随着人们对通信带宽需求的日益增加,长距离光纤传输系统对通信系统的容量需求也日益急剧增长。如何提高光纤传输系统的容量,实现全光网络通信,增加无中继的传输距离已经成为光纤通信领域的研究热点。波分复用技术的成功为解决通信容量问题提供了最根本而有效的途径,而密集型波分复用技术(DWDM)更以其独特的技术优势成为当今光纤通信领域的竞争制高点,但是密集型波分复用技术的进一步发展要依赖诸多技术上的进展和突破。
