1990年9月《人民日报》海外版一则别出心裁的《征母启事》引起了出人意料的强烈社会反响,如石击水,在无数善良的心灵深处荡起了阵阵情感的涟漪,也深深地打动了上海沪剧院院长以及两位编剧的心。于是,便有了7场沪剧《明月照母心》的文学剧本。《明》剧是作者取材于社会主义新时代生活中发生的一件真人真书。全剧的情节是围绕着金晓晖这个青年女教师如何收养孤儿、抚慰孤儿、教育孤儿来展开的,尤其是金晓晖一则别具匠心的《征母启事》的刊出更使主人公以及全剧的情愫得以升华。犹如一颗爱的火种燃起了人们心中似感生疏了的情爱之火。
