一是坚持爱国主义教育与社会主义教育相结合。建设有中国特色的社会主义是新时期爱国主义教育的主题。建国四十五年来,特别是党的十一届三中全会以来,我国社会主义建设取得的巨大成就就是对广大中学生进行爱国主义教育最现实、最生动的教材。加强社会主义教育,要让学生懂得:“只有社会主义才能救中国”“只有社会主义才能发展中国”这一真理。使广大中学生能够把振兴中华的朴素的爱国之情与振兴中华的科学认识结合起来,认识到社会主义的成败直接关系到祖国的前途和命运,具有中国特色的社会主义现代化事业,是从根本上改变祖国落后面貌 First, we must adhere to the combination of patriotism education and socialist education. Building socialism with Chinese characteristics is the theme of patriotic education in the new period. Forty-five years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Party Congress, the great achievements China has made in socialist construction are the most realistic and vivid teaching materials for patriotic education among middle school students.
