几个月来,全世界的目光都注视着中国人民的大炼钢铁运动,这并不是偶然的。因为,在世界上,从来没有一个国家敢于提出在一年内把钢产量翻一番,也从来没有一个国家能够组成一支几千万人的钢铁大军,并在一两个月中修建起数以万计的炼钢炉和炼铁炉。中国人民所进行的轰轰烈烈的炼钢运动,再一次显示了社会主义的新中国有着多么伟大的充沛的生命力。这是世界史上从未有过的一次工业大进军,是西方国家所梦想不到的神话般的奇迹。在这东风日益压倒西风的时代,中国人民所进行的以钢为纲的工业化运动,必将大大加强以苏联为首的社会主义阵营的力量,并将削弱和打击以美国为首的帝国主义的侵略势力。
