精选阅读材料,扩大阅读范围,增加阅读量是当前新的高考所要求的。而目前中学英语教科书所提供的阅读量较以往虽有较大幅度的增加,但离新课标的要求还远远不够。新课标(高考要求达到8—9级)要求阅读30万词以上。为此,教师要精心选择补充阅读材料。在材料选择上,要使所选材料在题材、体裁、难度等方面适合教学的实际要求和学生的实际水平,激发学生的阅读兴趣,使学生在日益丰富的阅读中提高阅读能力。做阅读题,要避免以下几点误区:
