欧洲经济共同体(简称欧共体)是由德国、法国、比利时、丹麦、西班牙、希腊、爱尔兰、意大利、卢森堡、荷兰、葡萄牙和英国等12个成员国组成的当代世界最发达和最成熟的区域经济组织,也是世界上最大的贸易集团,它已成为与美国、日本相抗衡的发达经济集团之一。欧共体对外贸易额约占世界贸易总额的40%以上。对外贸易在欧共体国民经济中占有很重要的地位,平均占各成员国国内生产总值的1/4。随着欧洲经济一体化的发展,近20年区内贸易增长达7倍,区外贸易增长2.5倍。欧共体的对外贸易对世界经济的发展变化起着举足轻重的作用。
The European Economic Community (EC) is the most developed and mature region of the contemporary world composed of 12 member states: Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom Economic organizations, the largest trading group in the world, have become one of the advanced economic groups that compete with the United States and Japan. The EC foreign trade volume accounts for more than 40% of the total world trade. Foreign trade occupies a very important position in the national economy of the European Community, averaging 1/4 of the GDP of member states. With the development of European economic integration, intra-regional trade in the past 20 years increased by 7 times and that for non-regional trade by 2.5 times. The EC’s foreign trade plays a decisive role in the development and changes of the world economy.
