It is undoubtedly one of the original materials to study the policy of banning books in the Qing Dynasty and banning bibliographies. The relevant historical materials in the literary jail of the Qing Dynasty are undoubtedly important basic material. These historical materials have shown us the content and background that can not be included in the banned bibliography, and therefore more clearly and clearly demonstrated the banned books and the literary inquisition in the Qing Dynasty. However, banned bibliographies and banned books in literary jails, both in quantity and in categories, do not exactly match. Therefore, it is of value to outline the banned books in the literary jail of the Qing Dynasty. From 1931 to 23 (1934), the original Beiping Forbidden City Museum archives compiled nine series of “Literary Prison Files in the Qing Dynasty” based on the historical records of the Qing Dynasty Military and Military Division files stored in the museum, written and commented by Zhu, This is an important source for studying the policy of writing and banning books in the Qing Dynasty. A progressive search of the banned books under each case not only complements the banned bibliography, but it also has some value in the study of the policy of banning books, at least providing clues to certain studies. This article intends to search one by one the books banned in the literary jail cases recorded in the first series to the third series of “Gentry Prison Records in the Qing Dynasty”.
