From existentialism to analyze Willy, the protagonist of “the death of a salesman,” reveals that he has long been in an abandoned state and can not achieve the freedom of choice. In the existentialist perspective, Willie’s suicide is a helpless choice that he faces in the face of death. He can face the life but can not find the true self. And this is precisely his fear of the truth I can not face the price and the outcome of self-pay. But he did not fear death for his son, in fact, a good father.
