作为炎黄子孙,无论身在何处,龙的形象已根深蒂固成为中华文化特有的符号。在中华文明漫长的历史进程中,龙的形象经历了不断发展与演变,最终成为中华民族的图腾与象征,世界各地凡是有华人聚集的地方,每逢喜庆节口就少不了舞龙的活动,龙舞成为中华民族传统民俗文化的优秀代表。经过两干多年的文化积淀与传承,今天的龙舞已不仅是活跃于年节庆典中的民俗活动和广场艺术表演,更发展成为全国性甚至是具有国际性的体育运动赛事,体现了龙舞文化功能的多样性。
