福建建阳民间工笔画院成立于1991年10月。它的前身是建阳文化馆办的工笔画美术培训班,创办于1985年秋天。从美术班发展成为画院,已经走过八年的历程。建阳工笔画在各级领导和许多有关部门的重视下,逐渐从闽北山区走向全省、北京,乃至海外,受到不少赞誉。 Fujian Jian Yang Folk Painting Institute was established in October 1991.
