无限结荚习性大豆主茎与低位分枝的顶端生长点始终分化叶片与枝芽,不形成顶花序;有限结荚习性大豆主茎与低位分枝的顶端生长点形成顶生总状花序。不同结荚习性大豆的高位分枝都是“单节有限生长分枝”。在一定的条件下,无限结荚习性大豆发生顶芽的早衰现象。根据开花期主茎顶端出生花序苞或复叶的不同,可以识别大豆的结荚习性。
