The sensitization of Ce3 + to Er3 + ions was discussed by solving the energy level transitions of (Ce, Er) YAG and ErYAG. The results show that Ce3 + can enhance the laser intensity of Er3 + ions at 1.66μm and 2.94μm, but only change the number of laser particles at 1.66μm, ie N2 (4I13 / 2)> N1 (4I15 / 2) and Er3 + Relationship.
