Gastrodin is p-hydroxyphenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside, which is the main active ingredient extracted from traditional Chinese medicine Gastrodia elata. In this paper, a method for the separation and simultaneous determination of gastrodin (rabbit) and its metabolite p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol (rabbit) in rabbit plasma by high pressure liquid chromatography was studied. The experiment was performed using a Japanese spectroscopic Twincle high pressure liquid chromatograph with column 20cm×5mmid.
