中古以后,湘语历史上的语音链变(含推链与拉链,以推链为主),给现代湘语元音系统带来两个重要特征:一是现代湘语元音系统存在两种类型:元音三角、元音四角,其中元音三角多为偏后型元音三角。二是湘语语音链变中的高化演变,使现代湘语产生了较多的后圆唇元音。 Since the Middle Ages, the phonetic chain change in the history of the Xiang language (including the push chain and the zipper, mainly in the form of a push chain) brings two important characteristics to the modern Xiang dialect: First, there are two types of modern Xiang vowel system: Yuan Sound triangle, vowel corners, of which the vowel triangle is mostly post-vowel triangle.
