以《外国报刊目录》第八版(上卷)为资料,统计国外农业科技期刊共1622种,其中核心期刊404种。《目录》八版选录的期刊从1804年到1993年。选录期刊的标准是:名称固定或比较固定;连续出版,没有预定的停刊期限,每年出版一期以上;出版定期,每期印明卷期编号,可以按年预订。选录期刊的原则是:着重编录各国主要学术机构和著名出版社的期刊,其次选编各学科各行业有一定参考价值的期刊。《目录》八版中对每种期刊的基本概况都进行了比较详细的描述,主要内容包括刊号、刊名、国别、创刊年、全年出版期数、
According to the eighth edition of the Catalog of Foreign Newspapers (the first volume), there are 1622 kinds of foreign agricultural sci-tech periodicals, of which 404 are core periodicals. The catalog of the eight editions of the Catalog was from 1804 to 1993.
