语言是文化的载体。文化知识的学习是语言学习不可或缺的一部分。中西文化差异是英语学习中的重要内容。因此,教师在教学中有意识地渗透这方面的知识,是非常有必要、而且是非常有意义的,对学生在理解、掌握效率及学习兴趣方面都会有很好的提高作用。本文对比了中西方文化中思维方式的差异,委婉语使用的差异以及词汇内涵的差异,并且提出了在大学英语教学中,如何渗透跨文化交际意识的方法。
Language is the carrier of culture. The study of cultural knowledge is an indispensable part of language learning. Chinese and Western cultural differences in English learning is an important part. Therefore, it is very necessary and meaningful for teachers to conscientiously infiltrate this knowledge into their teaching, which will greatly enhance students’ ability to understand, master and interest in learning. This article compares the differences of thinking styles between Chinese and Western cultures, the differences in the use of euphemisms and the differences in vocabulary connotations, and proposes how to permeate the awareness of intercultural communication in college English teaching.
