2006年12月30日,中央电视台英语节目迎来了正式开播20周年。英语节目的开播是中国改革开放的必然产物,也是中国走向世界的重要标志之一,它掀开了中国电视对外传播的历史性一页。20年来,中国电视对外宣传工作迈出了坚实的步伐,打开了崭新的局面。CCTV-9在世界的影响力越来越受到瞩目,已经覆盖了100多个国家和地区,用户达5000万户。在很多国家,已经成为当地观众的主要收视频道之一,真正富有了国际传播的意义。
On December 30, 2006, the CCTV English program ushered in the official launch of the 20th anniversary. The opening of English programs is an inevitable outcome of China’s reform and opening up. It is also one of the important symbols of China’s going to the world. It opens a historic page for the spread of Chinese television. In the past 20 years, the work of China’s TV propaganda has taken a solid step and opened a completely new situation. The influence of CCTV-9 in the world has drawn more and more attention. It has covered over 100 countries and regions and has 50 million users. In many countries, it has become one of the main viewing channels for local viewers, truly enriching the meaning of international communication.
