自西汉至清代的广西著述——包括广西本籍人士的著述及外籍人士有关广西的著述,大致可划分为三个发展阶段：宋元以前,广西著述的数量极少,并且,广西本籍人士的著述少于外籍人士有关广西的著述;明代,广西著述明显增多,且广西本籍人士的著述已超过外籍人士有关广西的著述;清代,是广西文化发展的鼎盛时期,其著述蔚为大观,数量之多,范围之广,内容之丰富,超越了以前任何历史时期。自西汉至清代的广西著述大部分已散佚不存。历代广西著述文献,特别是流传至今的广西著述文献,是研究广西文明史、文化史、学术史等问题不可或缺的重要资料。“,”The writings of Guangxi from the Western Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty,which includes those written by Guangxi natives and those by other provincials about Guangxi,can be generally classified into three developmental stages： Before the Song Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty,the writings are few in number,and the writings written by Guangxi natives are fewer than the writings written by other provincials;In the Ming Dynasty,the writings of Guangxi obviously increased,and the writings written by Guangxi natives exceeded those written by other provincials;The Qing Dynasty was the prosperous period of cultural development of Guangxi which presents a splendid sight with the large number,the extensive scope,and the rich content exceeding the past dynasties.Most of Guangxi writings from the Western Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty were scattered and lost.The writings and ancient literature of Guangxi,especially which are handed down to the present are indispensable significant data for researching the civilization history,the cultural history,and the academic history of Guangxi.
