1949年春,我从石家庄调往北平,当时北平刚刚和平解放不久。进城后我被安排在中央财政经济委员会工作。10月1日那天,由机关组织参加了天安门广场的开国大典。我站在金水桥西侧,亲自聆听了毛主席的庄严宣告“中华人民共和国中央人民政府今天成立了”;亲眼目睹了由毛主席按动电钮冉冉升起的第一面五星红旗,陆海空受阅部队的雄姿和广场上几十万群众载歌载舞、欢呼雀跃的宏大欢庆场面。那兴奋、激动的感受,今天回想仍旧令人振奋、难已忘怀。
In the spring of 1949, I transferred from Shijiazhuang to Peiping, when Peiping was just peaceful liberation. After entering the city I was arranged to work in the Central Financial and Economic Committee. On October 1, the authorities organized the founding ceremony of Tiananmen Square. Standing on the west side of Jinshui Bridge, I personally listened to the solemn declaration of Chairman Mao that “the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China was established today.” I witnessed the first five-star red flag raised by Chairman Mao’s push button, By reading the majestic troops and hundreds of thousands of people on the square singing and dancing, cheering grand celebration scene. That excitement, excitement, recall today is still exciting, hard to forget.
