黄兴镇地处长沙市东南、浏阳河畔,是辛亥革命伟人黄兴先生、共和国开国元勋许光达和抗日名将黄杰将军的故乡,具有深厚的文化底蕴、丰富的人文资源、秀美的自然风光和良好的区位优势。2015年11月,根据《长沙县乡镇区划调整改革工作方案》的要求,原黄兴、干杉两镇合并,组建为新的黄兴镇,现镇域面积157平方公里,辖14个村、4个社区,总人口约8.1万。41个党支部,175个党小组,3598名党员。
