Objective: To detect the serum levels of leptin and adiponectin in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and to explore the relationship between them and the blood lipids in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Methods: LEP was detected by radioimmunoassay and APN was detected by ELASA method. Blood lipids were determined by Roche P 800 automated biochemical analyzer. Results: The levels of LEP and lipids in NAFLD patients were significantly higher than those in control group (P <0.01). The level of APN in NAFLD patients was lower than that in control group (P <0.01). There was a positive correlation between LEP and lipids in patients with NAFLD (P <0.01), but negative correlation between APN and LEP in patients with NAFLD (P <0.01). Conclusion: The levels of leptin and adiponectin have important guiding significance for clinical diagnosis.
