1981-1982年重复选6个抗或中抗的籼、粳稻品种(抗病的IR26、南粳15、早生爱国3号和中抗的74-105、农垦57、窄叶青8号)以及3个感病的籼、糯品种(珍珠矮、金刚30和江宁糯),以白叶枯菌致病力强的2个菌株(78-4、77-102)和致病力弱的2个菌株(75-1、76-1)于分蘖始期分别剪叶接种。接种后15天按国内分级标准记载病情并取样,采用纤维素薄层层析法测定糖类、糖苷酯的组分和含量,1982年稻剑叶期还用同样的方法测定了脱氢脯氨酸(△’-吡咯啉-5-羧酸)的含量,分析它们与抗病性的关系。
